This is a Matisse inspired piece...it was part of an assignment.
The assignment was to choose a day, month, or season and do a Matisse calender. I chose to do
January 12th, the day of my cousins funeral!
Even though it is a funeral, I chose bright colours a: because it was summer and b: I am no longer grieving her death, now celebrating her life!!
This is a collage, cut colour paper.
